I've tried pretty much the same build at times, except that I suboptimally went fire for my damage. It worked well anyway.

But why don't I see Galigord's Stone Staff in the weapon bar for enchantment extension? As good a farmer as you are, you can surely afford it.

My first build go for fire damage... before the nerf... afther the nerf i use this to help me, i use lava font to make mosters run away and cooldown skills and give more time to live up... but i allways go for mesmer secondary... later i try farm ice imps and change to earth damage... and thats work very well...
And sure i forget galigords staff... forget to use, because i have one just to increse enchants... but thats better only for hydras... to increase obsidian flesh...

Not bad at all

Earth magic and solo farming FTW! I use similar build for griffons. And if I can borrow a tank guildie...well...then the fires start!

Peoples say eles cannot solo farm. I'd say it's a matter of choosing WHERE to farm for each class.

And yeh...almost forgot...there's a nerf/buff skill revision scheduled for march 7th...and I keep my hopes high!!

kool! , well ive used like a build about the same , got to say i prefer my 55 ele

took on 10 hydra and owned them easy and fast , i'll post a pic once im on my pc , it works great on griffons too

55 ele
+5 energy wand ^^
-50 health item

attributes

15 fire magic
9 energy storage
9 healing
9 protection

flame burst
inferno
prot spirit
breeze
aura of restoration
eccence bond
balthzars spirit
mending

yes i no booo 55 build , well ive done earth armor builds like about the same as the above and this is far more effective and safer , infact the ele has one thing that the monk has that no other proffesion has , a heal when your casting , on the monks side its devine favor, but on the ele side its aura of restoration , the weakness of the 55 build on other proffesions but the monk is tat 10 health regen is sometimes not good enough to overcome a lot of 5 dmg's , well thats where the devine favor comes in it bumps u up to full health every time , and thats exactly what aura of restoration will do aswelll , enjoy (btw spam prot spirit and healing breeze.. like a lot)

Sounds very much like my story.

I think Lava Font works very well in Ether Renewal builds, to discourage loitering between casts.

I haven't made Obsidian Flesh work well yet. Ice Imps don't seem to come close enough (and the ones I was trying had a Pinesoul boss with them). On Perdition Rock the Flesh Golems always interfere, and beat me down pretty fast. I haven't figured out how, actually; if I get poisoned I assume it was Death Nova, but I get beaten down by them even without being poisoned.

The other problem with Obsidian Flesh is that unless you go Ele/Ra you can't keep it up indefinitely.

i think those are the ones outside Ice Tooth Caves. If those are then they are the low level ones where you can aggro like 15 at once to learn how to farm on. I do the hydra farming too but without obsidian flesh, i just time my skills so when i get hit by meteor i still have enough time to buff kinetic.

Hydras don't get knockdown from whirlwind. So if u are farming hydras only u should replace it with some other skill. If u farm gryphons and hydras at the same time - that makes sense If not fit in there another dmg skill.

if you are farming hydras i find straight earth is better... with kinetic and armour of earth up you have 200 armour. the most you will get hit for is 10 points from inferno. melee will just strike for 1 and 2 a go. stone daggers to keep kinetic up and obsidian flame and crystal wave if you need to do dmg fast. ether renenwal for energy and heal and earth attunement for more energy and another enchantment for ether renewal to work on.

take balanced stance to avoid being KD'd by the meteors and you should be easily able to deal with 3 with just stone daggers. 7 or 8 at a go isnt hard either.

with the amount of armour buffs this build allows there shouldnt really be any reason to die unless you screw up the timing of the casting really badly or let kinetic armour drop
